Meta Ads integration
How PostTrack connects to Meta Ads through the official Facebook Marketing API, what it does with the data, and how to revoke access.
What the integration does
PostTrack works with Meta Ads exclusively through the official Facebook Marketing API. Once you connect an ad account, PostTrack can:
- Connect ad accounts via Facebook OAuth. You are taken to Facebook’s own authorization screen, choose which ad accounts to share, and confirm. PostTrack never asks for your Facebook password.
- Show your campaign structure. Campaigns, ad sets and ads with their budgets, schedules and targeting, in one list together with your TikTok accounts.
- Build reports and analytics. Impressions, clicks, spend, conversions and derived metrics (CPA, CPC, CTR, ROI), by day and by account.
- Run automated rules. Conditions you define — for example, pause an ad set when its cost per conversion exceeds your target, or raise the budget of an ad set that stays under it.
- Create campaigns from templates. Reusable setups (structure, targeting, creatives, optimization settings) that you launch into a chosen ad account.
- Send notifications. Alerts about rule executions and account status, in the interface or to Telegram if you enable it.
PostTrack only ever accesses the ad accounts you authorized, and only while the authorization is active.
Permissions we request and why
The permissions below are shown on Facebook’s authorization screen before you grant access. Each one maps to a feature described above; we do not request permissions we do not use.
| Permission | Why it is needed |
|---|---|
| ads_read | Read the structure of your campaigns, ad sets and ads and their settings, so PostTrack can display them in the dashboard. |
| ads_management | Apply the changes you request — creating campaigns from your templates, updating budgets, and pausing or resuming ad sets according to your rules. |
| business_management | Read the list of ad accounts and business assets you authorized, so you can choose which ones to work with in PostTrack. |
| read_insights | Read performance statistics (impressions, clicks, spend, conversions) for reports and for evaluating the conditions of your automation rules. |
How to disconnect
You can revoke access at any moment, in either place:
- In PostTrack: “Profile” → “Integrations” → disconnect the ad account.
- In Facebook: “Settings” → “Business Integrations” (or “Security and Login” → “Apps and Websites”).
In both cases the stored access tokens are deleted immediately and PostTrack stops requesting data for that account. Cached advertising data is deleted within 30 days. Details: Privacy Policy and Data Deletion.
Compliance
The integration operates under the Meta Platform Terms and Developer Policies. Questions about the integration: support@posttrack.io.
